Mountville Baseball - Covid-19 Safety Plan

Mountville Youth Athletic Association
Baseball Covid-19 Safety Plan
Updated on 1/5/2022

Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, MYAA Baseball is implementing guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all players, coaches, and families.

As always, the MYAA strives to provide a safe and healthy environment for the youth of our community to participate in organized sports and to protect volunteers as they guide them through MYAA sponsored activities. Therefore, MYAA has adopted and will follow the “MYAA Baseball Covid-19 Safety Plan.”

We understand there may be differing opinions about the necessity for such guidelines. But we all share one important and common goal, to provide an opportunity for our youth to participate in organized sports. To make that possible, we need everyone’s full cooperation in adhering to the “MYAA Baseball Covid-19 Safety Plan” outlined here.

MYAA is continuing to monitor the Covid-19 pandemic and we are adjusting our "MYAA Baseball Covid-19 Safety Plan" as needed. We currently have multiple plans prepared for this season to ensure that we can safely accomplish our goals. Our policies/plan may change at any time in order to ensure the health and safety of our participants and our community.

Face Coverings and Social Distancing:
It is highly recommended that everyone (athletes, coaches, officials, and spectators) attending any MYAA sporting event wear face coverings (masks or shields), unless they are outdoors and can consistently maintain social distancing of at least 6 feet.

Healthy and Clean Environments:
Whenever possible, sports equipment should not be shared. If shared, equipment should be properly disinfected between users. Sports complex facilities should be cleaned and disinfected on a regular basis.

What to do if Someone Gets Sick or Exposed:
Any player/volunteer who is displaying any symptoms of illness and/or has a fever of 100.4 or higher must refrain from attending all sports functions. Any player/volunteer who is exposed to or tests positive for Covid-19 must quarantine per CDC guidelines.

Face Coverings

As a local youth sports program; we feel it is necessary to acknowledge the recent spike in Covid-19 cases and do our part to protect our community. To ensure that we collectively protect the health and well-being of all MYAA families, please consider wearing a face covering at indoor MYAA events/activities at this time. Face Coverings are Highly Recommended for all players, volunteers, and spectators during any indoor MYAA functions.
