Concussion Information

As with any sport, cheerleading poses a risk of athletes getting a concussion while cheering. It is important as coaches, players, and parents to know the signs and symptoms of concussions, when to report concerns, and how to rest and recover from a head injury. Please take a few minutes to watch the following videos from the NCAA about concussions and have a conversation about the importance of reporting any injury to a coach, with your athlete.

Here is the Concussion Protocol for MYAA. Please don't hesitate to contact a Commissioner or Board Member with questions or concerns.
