Thank you for considering Mountville Cheerleading for your athlete and family. We’re excited to offer a fun, supportive, and energetic program for athletes of all experience levels.

Any child is eligible to register for Mountville Cheerleading — regardless of which school district they attend.

Please take a moment to scroll through this entire page for important details about the season, uniforms, expectations, and upcoming events. We want families to have all the information they need to feel confident and prepared.

2026 Important Dates to Remember:

Cheer Camp

Aug 4-7, 2026: 6:00-8:00 @ Froelich Park
Aug. 11-14, 2026: 6:00-8:00
Aug. 18-21, 2026: 6:00-8:00 

(Athletes are expected to attend at least 10 days of Cheer Camp in order to learn the motions, chants, and basics)

Practices

Practices will then be Tuesdays & Thursdays from 6:00-8:00pm @ Froelich Park. 

Picture Day: TBD

Competition Schedule: TBD

For athletes who enjoy competing and want to take their skills to the next level, we will be offering a Competition Team option this fall. Participation is completely optional, but athletes who choose to join the Competition Team will be held to higher expectations and additional requirements.

We anticipate attending 3–4 competitions during the fall season. Any athlete who opts in must be prepared to commit to extra practice hours

2026 Uniform Requirements

All athletes on the Smurfs, PeeWee, Pony, and Midget squads will receive a skirt, vest, and body liner for the season. These items are part of the official uniform and must be returned at the end of the season.

Registration fees will include:

T‑shirt
Socks
Two bows (regular bow + Breast Cancer Awareness bow)
Competition fees

Families will still be responsible for white cheer shoes, bloomers, and black warm‑ups.  No Sneakers

Concussions

Please take a few minutes to watch the NCAA concussion‑education videos linked below. After viewing them, have a conversation with your athlete about why reporting any injury to a coach right away is essential for their safety and continued participation.

Volunteer / Background Check Policies

We appreciate the dedication of our volunteers and their efforts to  teach the game the right way, build confidence, and serve as positive mentors on and off the field.

Any Head Coach, Assistant Coach, or helpers on the field are required to complete background clearances and concussion certification prior to joining the field with your players.  MYAA Safety Policies and instructions for background checks can be found here:
